Women are recognised as the cornerstone of the African development. The African Union’s Agenda 2063 acknowledges that Africa is a continent where the critical role of women in Africa‘s transformation must be recognised and proactively harnessed.

As women enter the public office sphere, they encounter myriad of challenges preventing them to be effective in service delivery.

The Public Office Faculty is a superior think-tank faculty that provides practical political orientation to African women actively involved in all levels of public office.

The faculty provides practical political guidance to African women in public office, aiming to enhance their representation and capacity in the public sector.

WOMEN IN GEOPOLITICS PROGRAMME

The Women in Geopolitics Debate Programme is a high-level Think-Tank platform that convenes both male and female leaders to critically examine Africa’s evolving role in the global geopolitical landscape. By applying a Pan-African, gender-responsive lens, the programme aims to develop actionable strategies and recommendations that amplify Africa’s voice on the global stage while reinforcing resilience across the continent.

MICHAEL HILL – DEAN: LWA LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

A dynamic MBA-qualified businessman, Michael brings over 30 years experience in leadership development, banking, business and financial services. He has implemented strategic IT systems for Nedcor, JD Group, HomeChoice, DirectAxis and several local and international retailers and financial institutions. Michael has worked with major banks, financial services, credit bureaux and retailers locally and internationally.


DR. RUBEN RICHARDS

Dr. Richards is one of the world’s best industrialists with a wealth of experience and expertise in both the public and private sectors. He has advised various African governments including South Africa on service delivery strategies and industrial development plan.

Dr Richards has held executive levels positions across a wide range of sectors including business, government, academia, industry and civil society – the quintessential African Renaissance professional.

KAY-DEE MAHILE

Kay-Dee is a communications and digital media expert. She runs Taugadi Media Consultants which helps small businesses and NGOs develop their brands and leverage the digital space to scale their organisations.

Kay-Dee is also a Publisher, Artist and Podcaster. She often applies a very creative approach to social and digital media marketing and brand management.

She is a multitalented author, poet, publisher and recording artist- a true embodiment of diversity.


MRS GWEN MAHLANGU-NKABINDE

Mrs. Gwen is a highly-respected politician with a career that has spanned several decades. She rose to prominence as a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and has held various significant positions throughout her career. Her journey in politics began in 1994 when she was elected to the National Assembly of South Africa.

Her accomplishments as a politician and leader have earned her the respect and admiration of many, both in South Africa and beyond.

TESSA TAYLOR

Tessa brings over 20 years of Human Resources expertise. She currently runs her own Human Resources Consultancy firm.

ACCREDITATIONS

  • Accredited Skills Development Facilitator & Assessor (Accredited with the following SETA’s: ETDP; Services Seta; PSeta & MerSeta)
  • Completed post-graduate Diploma in the Management of Technology & Innovation in the domain of Labour Law (NQF Level 6) in 2011
  • Completed post-graduate Higher Diploma in Education (teaching) at the University of Port Elizabeth in 1992.
